EvolutionNET™

Built on the Avaya Aura™ platform that is deployed across the globe, Synergem’s EvolutionNET™ supports millions of busy hour calls ensuring that no local, regional, state or national event can overwhelm the network. Avaya’s DevConnect program enables Synergem to develop tightly integrated applications that can fully exploit Avaya’s market shaping technologies. These include CAD-to-CAD (C2C) data exchange, regional dispatch mapping and an extraordinarily robust conferencing solution (PC3) that, for the first time, allows public safety to enjoy all the capabilities inherent in a business enterprise solution. Avaya’s open architecture easily integrates with third-party solutions. This allows the Synergem’s ESInet to make over 4,000 third-party applications available to its PSAP clients that are specifically designed for call centers. EvolutionNET™ was designed from the ground up to mirror NENA i3 standards and is designed to evolve in tandem with them.

EvolutionNET™ features geospatial call-routing as well as a geographical search engine.

This ESInet improves response times by applying logic and policy to dynamically route calls to the appropriate PSAP. Because of this flexibility, EvolutionNET^TM provides user agencies with unprecedented ad hoc contingency planning capabilities invaluable during natural or man-made disasters.

Here are just two examples of policy-based call routing capabilities:

1. If a call is delivered showing that the caller is a Spanish-speaker, the call can be automatically routed to a Spanish-speaking telecommunicator. If there are none on duty, a conference call can be established with the agency’s language translation service provider without the telecommunicator having to make a second call.
2. If a natural or man-made disaster disables the PSAP, calls can automatically be redirected, dynamically or by pre-definition, to another PSAP (s) to provide assistance under a mutual aid agreement. If these agencies have Radio over IP capabilities, both call receipt and dispatch from the remote agency is possible.

EvolutionNET™can smoothly integrate Legacy PSAPs that will continue to use traditional ANI/ALI controllers by employing a Legacy PSAP Gateway (LPG). The LPG will present the voice and location information from the EvolutionNET™ in the format (CAMA/ANI) supported by the PSAP’s legacy ANI/ALI controller. PSAPs upgraded to support SIP trunking as defined by the NENA i3 specifications will receive the voice, location and additional data in the SIP call stream.
