NENA’s Detailed Functional and Interface Standards for the NENA i3 Solution (Standard Number: 08-003 v1) describes the Next Generation 9-1-1 “end state” after migration from legacy TDM circuit-switched to an IP-based system. In the NENA i3 “end-state” Access Network Providers bundle a 9-1-1 valid location in the SIP signaling to the ESInet.
